How could the current H1N1 “swine flu” variation develop naturally?

Thursday, May 28th, 2009
Considering that the current H1N1 “swine flu” is actually a combination of swine flu, avian flu and human flu strains from different continents, I would like to have a scientific explanation of how it is possible for this “triad” flu strain to have developed naturally.

If I have h1n1 could my pet pig catch it from me?

Thursday, May 28th, 2009
Suppose I were a human and had a pet pig. Suppose also that my pig is healthy but I have h1n1. Could my pig catch it from me?
@Mister Man: I am skeptical that H1N1 passes from pigs to humans or from humans to pigs. Can you support your claims?
