Vampires?

I just read the book Twilight and the sequel New Moon, it was one of the best books of all time i think. Well it was a lot about vampires and such.
I would like to know, do you beleive in vampires? Or do you think its just a creative way of saying cannabalism?
It confuses me now, because it seems like it could well be real, but once you really think about it, if somebody told you that they were a vampire, you would automatically think that they were cucu for cocoa puffs.
Well I just want to know everybody’s opinion about this.
