OK so is this whole “swine flu pandemic” going to tunr into some i am legend crap? because its all over the news,internet,youtube…etc is it really that serious to be worried so much about it i just think it is the plain old flu because it has the same symptoms wats the difference? oh and i heard it came from chinese people that live in mexico because of ther pigs or something like that? is it true?

the symptoms may be the same, but Swine Flu is very deadly. It’s a combination of regular flu, Bird Flu, and the original swine flu that pigs got. And its spreading REALLY quickly throughout Mexico and America. i didn’t hear anything about it coming from chinese people, but who knows.

It didn’t come from Chinese people. It came from Mexico and somehow the pigs are involved with it.

Scary stuff when things like this can spread so quickly due to our ease of travel these days. Regardless of the origins, we need to stay calm and use common sense.
First of all, WASH hands properly and do not touch your face unless your hands are freshly cleaned is ALWAYS good advice. Antibacterial hand cleansers are NOT ANTIVIRAL and DO NOT KILL VIRUSES like Swine flu or the common cold so do not think you are safe to eat with your hands etc. just because you have used a squirt of antibacterial cleanser.
Proper hand washing means using soap and the warmest water you are comfortable with, vigorously scrubbing front and back and fingers for about 30 seconds (the amount of time it takes to sing either Twinkle, Twinkle LIttle Star or the ABC Song) and drying thoroughly on a paper towel, then use the paper towel to turn off the water/light switch/ open door and throw away.
Secondly, staying away from someone’s sneeze and covering your own with the crook of your arm or a tissue/paper towel etc. is also always good common sense in preventing the spread of illness.
And thirdly, GOD is in control. Don’t go stepping in front of a bus of course (God’s a pretty busy guy and why make trouble on purpose!) and take necessary precautions as you are able to but ultimately if this is IT, and you are meant to be taken in this way then it is His Will. Do what you can to prevent catching it and spreading it but in the meantime-
